Mark, born and raised in Lexington, KY, is the youngest of five brothers and sisters. His father always kept the boys involved in organized sports but at the age of 8, Mark was the only sibling interested in the sport of hunting. Even though his father was unable to take him due to a disability, he always made sure that whatever his interest in hunting was, he would see to it that his desire for the sport would never fade. It was a little league baseball coach and family friend, Teddy Bullock, which sparked his interest in quail hunting. Over the years, that led to an even bigger interest in grouse hunting. A hunting partner in 1990 introduced him to the game of sporting clays as a way to become a better wing shot. Eventually his passion for the sport over came his interest in wild bird hunting, which then led him to become a self-taught competitive shooter.

One of Mark's greatest accomplishments are his 2 children, Megan and Alex who will be graduating from the University of Kentucky in December and May. He still resides in Lexington, KY and works at Equipment Sales & Rentals, LLC.
