Katie is 25 years old and is from Chino Hills, California. She started shooting competitively when she was 14. It was something her brother did growing up, and she eventually wanted to join in on the fun. They both took lessons from Dan Carlisle. After high school, she moved to Texas to go to school at Texas A&M. This is where she really got serious about shooting because there were so many more clubs and tournaments to go to. With more opportunity, her competitive nature pushed her to be better. She surrounded herself by the best in the business and set goals of tournaments she wanted to win, and year after year she has been crossing them off.

While she really enjoys shooting and competing at big tournaments, her passion has always been horses. She grew up showing all around horses in the Quarter Horse circuit. When she went to college, she competed in barrel racing at College rodeos. She currently competes in cow horse events, barrel racing, and halter. She has been very successful in her show career, winning two AQHA World titles, two NSBA World titles, and the Quarter Horse Congress, the largest horse show in the world. Her family runs a breeding operation in California, which she currently helps manage.
