Jeff, a native Houstonian, is a third generation graduate from Cy-Fair High School following his grandmother and father. He began working at his father's plant nursery at an early age. Fifty-hour work weeks are the norm for Jeff and his dad Bill.

His first experience with shotguns was dove hunting at an early age with Bill. Jeff's first experience with sporting clays came in 2007. His wife, then girlfriend, Megan, worked for Boots & Coots, both were asked to be trappers at their corporate shoot in Dallas. As Jeff pulled at a station all day, he was eager to shoot the course himself. Terry Edwards, Megan's then boss at Boots & Coots, took him around the course and Jeff officially caught the sporting clays bug.

He shot his first registered tournament in December 2007 at the age of 24. Jeff is a 2011 and 2013 Second Team All American, as well as a 2013 Team USA member.

His largest win to-date came in 2012 at the Western Regional in California. Jeff won HOA in the Main, HOA in the 5-Stand and was M-1 in the Prelim.

In Jeff's free time, he enjoys spending time with his is wife Megan and their newborn son, Miles.
